Disaster Response & Resilience

Myanmar Crisis Aid

In response to the humanitarian crisis in Myanmar, the Foundation extended its reach beyond the Philippines, providing emergency aid to displaced families and at-risk children affected by conflict and instability. Working discreetly with grassroots networks and international partners, we helped deliver basic necessities, including food, medicine, and shelter materials, to communities in urgent need. This cross-border solidarity effort reflects our belief in a shared global responsibility to support vulnerable populations, regardless of geography.

Our commitment extends beyond emergency response – we focus on long-term recovery, community resilience, and preparedness, ensuring that vulnerable populations are not left behind when crises strike.

Donation for this crisis proceed to our affiliated Myanmar - Saydanar Association based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Other efforts we made in the past:

Mondejar Foundation has been actively involved in disaster relief efforts, responding to some of the most devastating crises in recent Philippine history. In the aftermath of Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) in 2009, which submerged vast areas of Metro Manila and neighbouring provinces, we mobilised volunteers and resources to provide food, clean water, clothing, and temporary shelter to displaced families. Our early experience in this national emergency laid the groundwork for our growing disaster response programme.

Following the catastrophic impact of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) in 2013, we scaled our efforts, delivering emergency food, water, clothing, medical supplies, and psychosocial support to affected communities. We collaborated with volunteers, local partners, and international donors to reach families across Tacloban and other devastated areas.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation distributed hundreds of food packs and hygiene kits to frontline workers, families in lockdown, and vulnerable groups in both urban and remote communities. We also supported online learning transitions for students through educational materials and digital access initiatives.
