Our Programmes

Education & Scholarships

We believe that education is one of the most powerful instruments for sustainable transformation. At the Mondejar Foundation, we are committed to making learning accessible, relevant, and enduring. Through scholarships, mentorship initiatives, and the development of educational infrastructure, we support learners across the Philippines, with particular focus on underserved and marginalised communities.

Our mission is rooted in inclusive, lifelong learning - one that honours cultural identity, embraces innovation, and cultivates future-ready skills. This vision is brought to life through our affiliated institutions and pioneering programmes:

JE Mondejar Computer College

🌐 mondejar.edu

For over 35 years, JE Mondejar Computer College has been a cornerstone of education in Tacloban City, Philippines. As a non-profit institution, it offers a full continuum of learning from kindergarten through college, with a strong focus on technology, entrepreneurship, and ethical leadership. The college prepares students for meaningful participation in an increasingly interconnected and rapidly evolving global environment.

Rooted in a legacy of service and innovation, the college is deeply committed to social transformation. It provides scholarships and quality education to underprivileged children and youth, especially those from disaster-affected and economically marginalised communities in Eastern Visayas, fostering long-term resilience and opportunity.

With a mission to act as a catalyst for poverty alleviation, JE Mondejar Computer College empowers students with practical skills, digital fluency, and an entrepreneurial mindset, enabling them to uplift their own lives and contribute meaningfully to the social and economic development of their communities.

Mondejar Institute of Technologies

The Mondejar Institute is the Foundation’s platform for future-facing education, focused on emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, NFTs, and Biotechnology. With hubs in the Philippines, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, the Institute offers a cross-cultural, cross-continental approach to technological advancement and knowledge exchange.

Its programmes are designed to prepare the next generation of Filipino and international talent for leadership in the digital economy and life sciences. With a strong emphasis on ethical innovation, digital sovereignty, and socially responsible technology, the Institute provides access to world-class resources, thought leadership, and global networks.

The Mondejar Institute plays a vital role in closing the digital divide, accelerating scientific literacy, and fostering inclusive growth. It equips learners with the tools and perspective to thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution - where technology, biology, and society increasingly intersect.

Baybayin Academy

Baybayin Academy is an educational and cultural initiative of the Mondejar Foundation that champions the preservation of indigenous knowledge systems while fostering modern skills development.

Through the Academy, Filipino youth are introduced to the richness of their heritage, learning pre-colonial scripts such as Baybayin alongside contemporary subjects. A core objective is to revitalise and reactivate these ancient scripts from an early age, empowering students to read, write, and create in their ancestral language.

Learners are encouraged to publish original books and creative works in these scripts, contributing to the preservation of national identity and cultivating pride in the Philippines’ diverse cultural legacy. By bridging tradition with innovation, Baybayin Academy ensures that cultural continuity and modern relevance move forward together.

Through these initiatives, the Mondejar Foundation seeks to empower a new generation of leaders, thinkers, and changemakers, individuals who are not only prepared for the future, but also deeply rooted in a sense of purpose, place, and possibility.
